Steve (played by Josh Hutcherson) and Darren Shan (played by Chris Massoglia) is a close friend who was 15 years old. Though familiar, they are different. Darren's a model student who always obedient and become outstanding students who think in the elderly. While Steve is the son brat who always gets angry teachers.
One time, they go watch the circus show held in secret and limited, Cirque du Freak. Where all the characters are people who are born curious and have the unusual ability. As Corma Limbs (played by Jane Karowski) women who can grow meat that dropped out of her body, Alexander Ribs (played by Orlando Jones) men who did not have the flesh around the waist, until all his ribs visible, Gertha Teeth (played by Kristen Schaal) women who could chew anything, Rhamus Twobellies (played by Frankie Faison) men who have two stomachs, Evra (played by Patrick Fugit) the child snake, Madame Truska (played by Salma Hayek) bearded women who can predict the future and Larten Crepsly (played by John C. Reilly) with Madam's Octo its poisonous spiders that can only be tamed with a special flute.
